Zadar region sees rising popularity in British tourism market

The Zadar region in Croatia is experiencing increased visibility within the British travel market. Manchester Airport recently identified Zadar as one of the ten fastest-growing summer destinations, alongside locations in Spain, Portugal, and Greece.

Further international attention was provided by The Times, which published a feature on Dugi otok. The article highlighted the island's natural beauty and authentic character, noting its historical connection to King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson. The coverage also recommended various local attractions, including the city of Zadar, Kornati National Park, and Telašćica Nature Park.

This growing interest reflects a trend among British travelers seeking destinations that offer authenticity, preserved nature, and an escape from mass tourism. To support this growth, the Zadar County Tourist Board previously conducted promotional campaigns in the London Underground.
