Zagreb City Assembly awards Luka Ritz Prize to two students

The Zagreb City Assembly has unanimously approved the recipients of the Luka Ritz Award — Violence is Not Bravery. The award will be presented to Zvonko Šiljac, a student at Grigor Viteza Elementary School, and Tin Boršić, a student at the Vladimir Prelog Natural Sciences School, on November 16, which marks International Day for Tolerance.

Šiljac was recognized for his exceptional social skills, empathy, and responsibility despite challenging life circumstances. Boršić was honored for his commitment to promoting non-violence, tolerance, and dialogue among youth through his work with the Zagreb Youth Theatre and as the host of the podcast ‘U trendingu’.

Additionally, the City Assembly accepted a proposal for the Zagreb Strategy for Equalizing Opportunities for Children with Developmental Disabilities and Persons with Disabilities for the period 2027–2030. This strategy aims to prevent discrimination and improve conditions for equal participation and independent living through measures in education, employment, social protection, and health.
