Zagreb County veterans hold 24th sports games in Velika Gorica

The 24th County Sports Games of the Zagreb County War Veterans Association (HVIDRA) took place in Velika Gorica, bringing together around 200 participants from across the county. The event featured eight sports disciplines—including shooting, table tennis, darts, chess, and indoor bowling—and served as a qualifier for the national competition organized by HVIDRA Republic of Croatia.

Đuro Đurić, president of HVIDRA Zagreb County, emphasized the importance of such gatherings for fostering community among veterans, stating that the atmosphere was "super" and that friendship should prevail over competition. Participants highlighted the social aspect, with Davor Župančić noting the opportunity to meet many fellow veterans.

The games concluded with an awards ceremony attended by local officials, including Deputy County Mayor Ervin Kolarec and Deputy Mayor of Velika Gorica Neven Karas.
