Zagreb Hosts 2024 European Gymnastics Championships

From 13 to 23 August 2024, Arena Zagreb will stage the European Championships in men’s and women’s artistic gymnastics, marking the first time the event is held in Croatia. The competition will bring together 640 athletes representing 43 nations, with senior and junior contests running simultaneously.

The opening ceremonies will feature performances by Croatian singer Mia Dimšić, the Italian TeamGym troupe Baby Lasagna, and cellist Ana Rucner, alongside showcases of parkour and children’s activities for visitors. Prominent Croatian gymnasts slated to compete include Tin Srbić, Filip Ude, and Illia Kovtun, who recently completed a mandatory waiting period before representing the host nation.

Organisers emphasise the scale of the event as the largest in the championship’s history, aiming to provide a family‑friendly festival atmosphere alongside elite competition.
