Zagreb hosts European Artistic Gymnastics Championships

Zagreb is hosting the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships at the Arena Zagreb from August 13 to August 23. The event features a record 670 gymnasts from 44 countries participating in both senior and junior male and female competitions.

Key highlights of this edition include the introduction of a prize fund for medalists, finalists, and coaches, as well as a new feature allowing the audience to score performances live. Notable participants include Croatian gymnasts Tin Srbić and 40-year-old Filip Ude, who is returning to competition specifically to perform in front of a home crowd. Additionally, former Ukrainian representative Ilija Kovtun will compete under the Croatian flag for the first time.

Local female gymnasts, including Tina Zelčić, Tijana Korent, Mila Prpić, Christina Zwicker, and Erin Bakran, have already completed media training sessions in preparation for the tournament.
