Zagreb hosts international cat exhibition

An international cat exhibition organized by the World Cat Federation (WCF) is being held on October 10 and 11 at the Family Mall in Zagreb. The event features more than 100 cats representing 25 different breeds, including well-known varieties such as Maine Coon, British Shorthair, and Bengal, as well as rare and recently recognized breeds.

Participants and cats have traveled from Croatia and neighboring countries, as well as from Belgium, Germany, Poland, Spain, and Indonesia. The exhibition includes competitive elements, such as the ‘Best in Show’ selection, and educational programs led by international WCF judges.

A special program titled ‘Cat Detective’ is designed for children aged five to 15, teaching them about breed characteristics, behavior, and how to interact properly with cats. Additionally, representatives from the Rijeka-based shelter Kitten Safe House are present to provide information on responsible adoption.
