Zagreb invests 250,000 euros in Autism Center renovation

The City of Zagreb has launched a public procurement process to renovate the sports hall at the Autism Center located on Ljevakovićeva Street. The project, valued at 250,000 euros including VAT, aims to improve the quality of life and working conditions for users of the facility.

Planned improvements include the installation of a new sports floor, wall coverings, new gymnastics equipment, and Swedish ladders to enhance safety. The renovation also involves replacing windows, installing external shades to reduce light reflection, implementing an electronic window opening system, replacing doors, and performing painting works. Construction is expected to begin at the end of the year and last approximately three months.

This investment is part of a broader strategy to strengthen social infrastructure in Zagreb. Additionally, the city is pursuing building permits for a major 40-million-euro Autism Center project in Oporovac, which will feature 48 classrooms and educational groups. A new facility on Jurja Dalmatinca Street is also scheduled to open by the end of the year to provide support for children and adults on the autism spectrum.
