Zagreb mayor Tomislav Tomašević accused of lying over opaque city‑company appointments

The Club of Zagreb City Councilors (Zagrepčanke), led by President Dina Dogan, declared a pattern of non‑transparent management in the capital. She cited recent resignations of directors at the water‑supply and drainage company, Zagreb Gas Supply, city cemeteries, the public‑health institute “Dr. Andrija Štampar”, and the Digital City project, calling them “not isolated cases”.

Dogan asserted that Mayor Tomislav Tomašević “lies” when he claims ignorance of who is appointed to these positions, and said responsibility rests with the Zagreb Holding supervisory board and the city administration. She announced that after the summer recess the club will seek a debate in the City Assembly to demand clear explanations for the recent leadership changes.

Councilor Ivka Odvorčić added that Zagreb Gas Supply has lost roughly 60 % of households and part of its business customers, with revenue foregone by the city and no one held accountable, warning that the only “punishment” so far is reassignment without responsibility.
