Zagreb music scene: Sólstafir concert announced and Soulbrake wins festival competition

The music scene in Zagreb is seeing significant activity with upcoming performances and recent competition results. The Icelandic band Sólstafir is scheduled to perform at Močvara on November 9, 2026, as part of their ‘Eastbound and Down 2026’ European tour. Known for blending black metal, post-rock, and psychedelic elements, the band is touring following the 2024 release of their eighth studio album, ‘Hin helga kvöl’.

In local talent news, the Zagreb-based alternative rock band Soulbrake won the demo band competition at the ‘Ljeto na Zagrebačkom velesajmu’ festival. In their debut appearance on a large stage, Soulbrake secured first place in a competition featuring eleven bands, finishing ahead of Goran Glad and Kult Pult. The festival, organized by Glazbena kuća, recently transitioned to a ticketed model to enhance program quality.
