Zagreb officials deny ordering transgender dolls for kindergarten

The City of Zagreb has responded to allegations regarding the delivery of transgender-themed dolls to the Stenjevec Kindergarten. Officials from Mayor Tomislav Tomašević’s office stated that the city procures classic dolls suitable for children's educational needs and that the incorrect items were never ordered or accepted.

According to the city, the dolls delivered did not match the agreed-upon specifications due to a manufacturing error. Upon discovering the discrepancy, the equipment was rejected and returned to the supplier on the same day it was delivered. The city has requested that the supplier provide products that strictly adhere to the original contract.

The political party Most had previously called for an immediate halt to the placement of these dolls in the kindergarten and demanded the publication of all procurement documentation. The party argued that kindergartens should remain spaces for safe development rather than venues for what they described as the imposition of ideological messages.
