Zagreb plumber fined for attacking Filipino family

A plumber in Zagreb has been fined 2,100 euros following a verbal and physical attack on a Filipino couple in front of their two-year-old child. The incident, which occurred in a residential courtyard, involved the 41-year-old suspect using derogatory language and discriminatory insults directed at the family.

Witnesses and neighbors reported that the suspect shouted profanities and physically pushed the man. When police arrived, the suspect allegedly insulted the officers and sprayed them with tear gas. While the defendant denied the specific allegations of physical assault and discriminatory commands in court, claiming he was merely reacting to noise disturbances from the neighbors, witnesses corroborated the prosecution's account of the verbal abuse and the confrontation with law enforcement.
