Zagreb police officer fined for insulting colleagues

A police officer from the IV Police Station in Zagreb has been fined for insulting colleagues during an intervention in Vrbovsko. The incident began when the officer's partner verbally attacked a woman regarding the manner in which she was holding a dog on a leash.

The man was fined 400 euros for his verbal abuse, while the female officer was fined 350 euros for her conduct. According to court proceedings at the Municipal Court in Rijeka, the situation escalated when the officer arrived on the scene and became verbally aggressive toward the Vrbovsko officers. She reportedly told her colleagues they did not know how to do their jobs and threatened to contact her superior in Zagreb.

The man partially admitted to the insults, stating he was agitated by the treatment of the animal, though he denied allegations of spitting or throwing objects at the woman.
