Zagreb stadium construction progresses in Kranjčevićeva street

Construction of the new stadium in Kranjčevićeva street, Zagreb, is entering its final stages. Recent site progress shows that seating has already been installed on the stands.

A contract amendment with the contractor, Strabag, has extended the construction deadline to December 1, 2026, with all contractual obligations expected to be completed by February 1, 2027. The total project value is approximately 47.69 million euros including VAT, fully funded by the City of Zagreb.

The facility will feature 11,163 seats with fully covered stands and a pitch measuring 105 by 68 meters. It is designed to meet UEFA Category 4 requirements, allowing for European matches. The project also includes a 6,300 square meter plaza, over 400 parking spaces, and a solar power plant.

The completion of this stadium is critical for the future of the Maksimir stadium. NK Dinamo is expected to move to the Kranjčevićeva location in March 2027, which will facilitate the demolition and subsequent reconstruction of the Maksimir stadium.
