Zagreb to Host 18th ZeGeVege Vegan Festival Sep 4-6
Zagreb will host the 18th edition of ZeGeVege, Croatia’s leading vegan and sustainable‑living festival, from 4 to 6 September 2026. Organized by the animal‑rights group Friends of Animals, the three‑day event will feature hundreds of domestic and international exhibitors offering plant‑based foods, natural cosmetics, eco‑products and educational materials. Visitors can sample savory and sweet vegan dishes, purchase items at promotional prices, attend workshops on plant‑based nutrition, climate change, ethical consumption and animal rights, and collect recipes and information on sustainable lifestyles.
The festival, now celebrating its “coming‑of‑age” milestone, aims to raise public awareness of the benefits of plant‑based diets and environmentally friendly habits, encouraging everyday choices that reduce animal suffering and protect the planet. ZeGeVege has become a staple of Zagreb’s gastronomic and cultural scene, attracting thousands of guests from across Croatia and abroad each year.
Entry is free and open to all, regardless of dietary preferences, reinforcing the organisers’ message that vegan food is for everyone.
