Zahav Foods launches new hummus flavors in US grocery stores

Zahav Foods, the consumer goods brand co-founded by restaurateurs Michael Solomonov and Steven Cook, has launched two new hummus varieties: Hummus Matbucha and Hummus Harissa. The new flavors are inspired by the signature tasting menu at the Michelin-recommended Philadelphia restaurant, Zahav.

Matbucha is described as a mild flavor featuring roasted red peppers, tomatoes, and onions, while Harissa offers a sweet and spicy blend of red peppers. Both products use the brand’s traditional hummus as a base and are intended to be swirled. The 10-ounce packages retail for $7.99 and are Non-GMO, gluten-free, kosher, and seed oil-free.

The expansion includes availability at 185 Whole Foods Market locations across 20 states, including markets in Boston, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Phoenix, Denver, Los Angeles, and San Diego. Additionally, the products are being distributed through Bristol Farms, Barons Market, Giant, and McCaffrey’s stores in the Mid-Atlantic and Southern California regions.
