Zahedan terrorist attacks kill two Iranian security officials

A terrorist attack targeting police units in the Zahedan region of Sistan and Baluchestan province has resulted in the deaths of two security officials.

Dr. Nosrat Eftekhari, the Deputy for Cultural and Social Affairs of the Sistan and Baluchestan Police Command, was killed in a bombing on the Cheshmeh Ziarat axis in Zahedan. She was reportedly in the area to assist local tribes and ethnic groups with social issues. Authorities stated that the primary perpetrator of the bombing was killed while attempting to flee the scene.

Additionally, Second Lieutenant Vahid Enayat was killed during a terrorist attack on a patrol from the Nosratabad Commando Unit on the Lakshek road in Zahedan. Following a retaliatory response from the unit, several terrorists were wounded and fled. Security forces are currently conducting operations in the area to apprehend the remaining perpetrators.
