Zahida Rafik declines return to acting due to family commitments

Former Malaysian actress Zahida Rafik has stated that she does not intend to return to the acting industry, despite feeling a sense of nostalgia for performing. The 51-year-old, known for roles in films such as ‘Mami Jarum’ and ‘Senario The Movie’, explained that her current life is focused on family and business commitments.

Rafik noted that her primary responsibility is caring for her elderly parents, who are aged 80 and 90. While she has received acting offers in the past, including from director Erma Fatima, she has had to decline them due to her schedule and personal obligations. She mentioned that producers have eventually come to understand her lack of availability as she prioritizes her role as a caregiver.
