Zahrah Mustapha Audu compares Bola Tinubu to Mandela and Rawlings

Princess Zahrah Mustapha Audu, Director General of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), has compared President Bola Tinubu’s political leadership to that of Nelson Mandela and Jerry Rawlings.

Audu argued that the historical significance of a leader is defined by the institutions they build and the transformations they drive rather than by an immaculate biography. She addressed ongoing public debates regarding President Tinubu’s educational history and political record, suggesting that controversies surrounding his certificates should not overshadow his political accomplishments or the reforms implemented since he assumed office in May 2023.

Drawing parallels to Mandela and Rawlings, Audu noted that both leaders faced questionable histories or controversial beginnings, yet they are remembered for their roles in transforming their respective societies. She emphasized the need to distinguish between allegations and established facts when scrutinizing leadership.
