Zain Jordan and Ericsson expand partnership to modernize BSS

Zain Jordan and Ericsson have expanded their partnership to modernize Zain Jordan’s Business Support Systems (BSS). This next phase of digital transformation aims to prepare the company’s IT infrastructure for the 5G era and improve digital service delivery across the Kingdom.

The project includes upgrading the BSS architecture to a cloud-native model by moving Ericsson Billing to Red Hat OpenShift within Zain Jordan’s private cloud. This shift is intended to increase scalability, speed, and cost-efficiency. Additionally, the deployment of Ericsson’s Telco DataOps Platform will provide real-time data insights to support proactive customer experience management and network optimization.

The agreement also extends to Zain Jordan’s postpaid business line, introducing catalog and order management to enable faster launches of innovative products. This expansion is expected to create new revenue streams across both prepaid and postpaid segments while laying the groundwork for future AI-driven autonomous networks.
