Zaječar hosts 35th Zoran Radmilović Days festival

The 35th anniversary of the ‘Dani Zorana Radmilovića’ festival has commenced in Zaječar, Serbia. The opening festivities included a traditional poetic tribute held at the monument dedicated to the renowned Serbian and Yugoslav actor. During the program, poets Verica Ilić, Živko Nikolić, and Milan Đerić performed works dedicated to Radmilović.

The festival’s opening play, ‘Prljave ruke’ (Dirty Hands), was produced by the Tivat Center for Culture. Based on the text by Jean-Paul Sartre and directed by Jug Radivojević, the production explores the conflict between political ideology and personal ethics. Actor Lazar Đurđević received the ‘Zoranov brk’ award for his performance in the play.

Separately, the play ‘Rad naš Namenski’ was performed at the Center for Cultural Decontamination (CZKD) in Belgrade. The production addresses the 2017 tragedy at the ‘Milan Blagojević – Namenska’ gunpowder factory in Lučani, focusing on the struggle for accountability led by Milovan Milivojević following the death of his son.
