Zakaria al-Zubaidi visits Qusra to address settler attacks
Zakaria al-Zubaidi, a member of the Fatah Central Committee and Commissioner of National Relations, visited the town of Qusra southeast of Nablus to assess the situation of residents living near settlement outposts. The visit comes amid escalating attacks by settlers and restrictions on residents in the Ras al-Ain area, where some homes have reportedly been besieged, preventing access to basic necessities.
During the visit, al-Zubaidi conveyed greetings from President Mahmoud Abbas and noted that the Palestinian leadership is monitoring the situation to support the residents' steadfastness. Additionally, Vice President Hussein al-Sheikh spoke via telephone to the Mayor of Qusra, Abdul Azim Wadi, expressing support for the villagers defending their property and land.
Al-Zubaidi emphasized that the needs of these targeted villages must be prioritized in political decision-making and by the Palestinian government. He called on the government and national factions to fulfill their responsibilities by providing necessary support to help citizens remain on their lands in the face of increasing settler aggression.
