Zakopane mayor reports successful rescue of doe trapped in trash bin element

A doe in Zakopane was successfully rescued after being found wandering the streets with a piece of a trash bin caught around its neck. The Mayor of Zakopane, Łukasz Filipowicz, reported that the municipal guard intervened immediately upon receiving reports of the animal.

According to the Mayor, finding a veterinarian willing to assist with wild animals proved difficult due to concerns regarding professional liability and potential public backlash. After several attempts to locate and secure the animal, a veterinarian successfully performed the procedure to remove the plastic trap, freeing the doe.
