Zakopane: Pedestrian struck by vehicle on Balzera Street

A 36-year-old woman was injured in a traffic collision on Balzera Street in Zakopane. The incident occurred late in the afternoon on Tuesday, involving a Volkswagen driven by a 46-year-old man from Mielec County.

Emergency medical services treated the pedestrian at the scene before transporting her to a hospital. Authorities reported that her injuries were not serious. The driver was sober at the time of the accident. Following the investigation, the driver received a fine of 3,000 PLN and 15 penalty points. Police have categorized the event as a collision and urged increased caution due to high holiday traffic in the region.
