Zakopane tourism shifts as summer peak ends

As the summer peak concludes, Zakopane is experiencing a shift in tourism patterns. The end of August has brought reduced traffic on major roads and easier access to parking spaces in the city center and near Tatra National Park entrances.

The decrease in tourist numbers is also impacting the local economy. Accommodation availability has increased, leading to lower prices; overnight stays for two people can now be found for less than 200 PLN per night. This trend suggests that September may offer a more tranquil and affordable period for visitors compared to the crowded peak season seen earlier in August at locations like Morskie Oko.

Visitors to the region can explore a variety of attractions, ranging from the urban atmosphere of Krupówki and the historic Pęksowy Brzyzek cemetery to natural sites such as Dolina Strążyska, Dolina Białego, and Rusinowa Polana.
