Zakątek Weteranów launches fundraiser for new headquarters

The Zakątek Weteranów Association, an organization founded by former and current Greater Poland Police officers, is seeking donations to build a new headquarters. The association provides a retirement home for service animals, including dogs and horses, that have served in various uniformed services such as the Police, Military, Border Guard, Fire Department, and various mountain and water rescue units.

Currently based in Gierłatów near Września, the organization has cared for over twenty service dogs and eight service horses. The initiative aims to create a secure sanctuary for these animals when they are retired from service due to age or health issues and can no longer remain with their original handlers.
