Zakynthos tribute to Dimitris Lagios postponed to November

The musical group ‘Tragoudistades tis Zakynthou’ has announced that its upcoming tribute event dedicated to the work of Dimitris Lagios, marking 35 years since his death, has been postponed to November rather than cancelled.

The group clarified this distinction following an announcement from the Municipality of Zakynthos, which stated that the event had been ‘CANCELLED’. According to the musical group, the postponement is due to the Municipality’s inability to meet its organizational obligations and commitments in a timely manner for what was intended to be a major summer cultural production.

The tribute is described as a multi-sensory experience involving music, speech, sound, and imagery, highlighting Lagios’s deep connection to the island of Zakynthos. The specific date and time for the November event will be announced at a later date.
