Zalo introduces AI voice-to-text transcription for PC users

Zalo has introduced a new feature to its PC version that allows users to convert voice messages into text using AI. This update enables users to read the content of voice notes quickly without needing to play the audio, which is particularly useful in crowded areas, during meetings, or in situations where playing sound is inconvenient.

Previously released on the mobile application, this feature is now available for the more than 7 million monthly active users on the desktop platform. To use the tool, users can simply click the conversion icon next to a voice message on Zalo PC to display the transcribed text directly within the chat.

This follows a previous update in July that added text message backup and transfer capabilities to Zalo PC, allowing users to sync chat histories between computers and mobile devices to prevent data loss during device changes.
