Zalo rolls out two‑factor login alerts to stop unauthorized access
Zalo has introduced a security feature that detects log‑ins from unknown devices. When the feature is active, the app automatically flags any suspicious attempt, sends an OTP to the registered phone number and pushes an urgent notification to the user's current device. Only the account holder can approve or deny the access, helping to block account hijacking, impersonation and fraud.
Users can enable the protection in the app by opening Settings, selecting Account & Security, and turning on the Two‑factor Security toggle. The measure is aimed at safeguarding the tens of millions of Vietnamese users who rely on Zalo for messaging, calls and daily work, reducing the risk of stolen credentials and malicious activity.
