Zamalek SC denies Juan Bezerra's transfer request

Zamalek SC officials held a meeting via Zoom with Brazilian player Juan Bezerra to address his absence from the team's pre-season training camp. Bezerra expressed a strong desire to transfer abroad, specifically requesting approval for an offer from the UAE-based club Shabab Al Ahli Dubai. He claimed there was a prior promise to allow his departure.

Zamalek management denied any such promise and demanded his immediate return to Cairo to fulfill his contract. The club warned that continued absence could lead to increased disciplinary sanctions. While the club is currently refusing to allow him to leave during the current window—partly due to existing transfer ban issues—they indicated that a sale could be considered in the January transfer window.

To facilitate a potential departure in January, Zamalek has set a minimum valuation of $6 million for the player. The club is reportedly looking to use any potential funds from Bezerra's sale to acquire new players during the winter period.
