Zamalek SC discusses new sporting director and branch construction

The Zamalek SC board of directors is meeting to address several critical issues regarding the club's football sector. A primary agenda item is the potential appointment of Hossam El Zenati as the new sporting director, succeeding John Edward. Negotiations have reportedly progressed to the final stages to define his powers and responsibilities.

Additionally, the board is discussing the settlement of outstanding financial dues for first-team players. The club intends to utilize funds from the $5 million transfer of Brazilian player Juan Bezerra to Shabab Al Ahli Dubai to provide necessary liquidity for these payments.

On the infrastructure front, construction preparations have officially begun for Zamalek's new branch in October Gardens. Development equipment and machinery have arrived on-site to begin land leveling and site preparation. The project is being executed in coordination with the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities to ensure adherence to engineering standards and a specific timeline.
