Zamalek SC moves to settle FIFA debts and addresses player dispute

Zamalek SC is taking steps to settle outstanding financial obligations following rulings from FIFA to avoid further sanctions and resolve its current transfer ban crisis. The club's management aims to finalize these payments to prevent additional legal repercussions and is working to appeal the disciplinary transfer ban.

Simultaneously, tensions have risen regarding player Juan Bezerra. The club canceled a scheduled Zoom meeting with the Brazilian player and his agent after failing to reach an agreement on meeting terms. Management is escalating measures against Bezerra, alleging he has failed to comply with his contractual obligations.

Legal experts suggest that Bezerra's actions may stem from specific clauses in his contract that could allow for unilateral termination. If the player terminates the contract without valid cause and Zamalek's position is upheld, he could face a four-month suspension and a fine of approximately $4.9 million.
