Zamalek SC moves to settle player debts and renew key contracts

Zamalek SC is preparing to address several player contract renewals and financial obligations. Following the receipt of funds from the sale of Brazilian player Juan Bezerra to Shabab Al Ahli, the club intends to use a portion of the proceeds to settle outstanding payments to its players.

Left-back Ahmed Fatouh is expected to meet with club officials soon to discuss a contract extension, as his current deal expires at the end of the season. While Fatouh is willing to stay, he is seeking a financial adjustment that reflects his performance. Negotiations are expected to be led by the club's new sporting director, who is due to be announced during the upcoming international break.

Additionally, the club is looking to stabilize its core squad by reviewing contracts for players whose terms end in 2027. This includes potential extensions for players such as Mohamed Shehata and Mahmoud Bentayg. Team captain Omar Gaber has expressed his commitment to staying with the club, making his renewal a matter of timing, while the club monitors goalkeeper Mahdi Suleiman's performance before finalizing his status.
