Zamalek wins Zizo contract case while players demand overdue wages

The Egyptian Football Association's Player Affairs Committee ruled that former Zamalek striker Ahmed Said “Zizo” has no outstanding financial claims against the club, rejecting reports that he is owed 80 million Egyptian pounds. Zamalek’s legal adviser said the player received his full contract amount and bonuses in advance, and that the club will pursue any further grievances through the appeals board.

At the same time, the club’s first‑team players have renewed calls for the prompt payment of wages that are still pending, urging the administration to settle all arrears before the start of pre‑season training. Zamalek officials indicated that they are working to secure the necessary liquidity and that the board has yet to set a date for an extraordinary General Assembly to approve the creation of a separate football company for the club.
