Zambia and Zimbabwe announce major infrastructure and mining industry forums

The Build Zambia Expo and Conference 2026 has been launched to drive infrastructure investment, procurement, and job creation in Zambia. Organized by the National Council for Construction, the two-day event is scheduled for September 23–24 at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka. The expo aims to function as a construction marketplace, connecting government institutions, investors, and contractors to foster local manufacturing and capability development.

In Zimbabwe, the 15th Zimbabwe Alternative Mining Indaba (ZAMI 2026) is set to take place from September 14–18 in Bulawayo. Convened by the Zimbabwe Council of Churches alongside other organizations, the forum will address mining, energy, agriculture, and community development. The event focuses on critical minerals, value addition, and ensuring mineral wealth contributes to inclusive economic and social benefits, involving stakeholders ranging from government officials to artisanal miners and civil society.
