Zambia celebrates heritage through diplomatic fair and diaspora events

Zambia is hosting various cultural events to mark national milestones and promote international relations. In Lusaka, the 2026 Diplomatic Fun Fair brought together more than 30 diplomatic missions and international organizations at the Lusaka Showgrounds. Held under the theme ‘Zambia Moves You: Connecting Cultures and Inspiring the Future’, the free public event featured music, dance, food, and crafts from various participating countries to showcase Zambia’s tourism potential and foster cultural diplomacy.

In the United Kingdom, the Zambian diaspora is preparing for the official 62nd Zambia Independence Celebration. Scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026, the event will take place at the Wandsworth Civic Suite in London. The nine-hour celebration, running from 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM, aims to bring together community associations and diplomatic partners to honor national heritage through musical performances and traditional meals.
