Zambian President Hichilema faces scrutiny over public absence

Speculation regarding the whereabouts and health of Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema has intensified following a period of reduced public visibility. The President has missed several scheduled events, including a national clean-up campaign launch and consecutive weekend church gatherings, leading to rumors regarding his status.

In response to these inquiries, State House Chief Communications Specialist Clayson Hamasaka stated that the President is at home and engaged in work. Supporters and officials have urged the public to judge the administration by its results and policy decisions rather than the frequency of the President's media appearances, dismissing recent social media insinuations as politically motivated agitation.
