Zambia's Brian Mundubile Begins Multi-Province Campaign Tour Ahead of 2026 Election
Zambia opposition presidential candidate Brian Mundubile and his running mate Makebi Zulu, representing the Tonse Pamodzi Alliance, launched a multi‑province campaign tour on 24 June 2026. The tour starts in Eastern Province and proceeds to Muchinga, Northern and Luapula provinces before returning to Lusaka, covering the period from 24 June to 12 July.
The itinerary includes joint rallies in towns such as Nyimba, Chipata, Chama, Nakonde, Mpulungu and Mansa, as well as drive‑through roadshows, community engagements and traditional courtesy calls to local chiefs. The schedule follows the Electoral Commission of Zambia’s timetable that allocates five days of campaigning per province and requires candidates to notify police at least 24 hours before public meetings and to vacate a province after the allotted period. The timetable notes that incumbent President Hakainde Hichilema is not required to campaign, as he continues his official duties.
