Zamfara Governor Dauda Lawal urges dissatisfied appointees to resign

Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has challenged political appointees who feel they have not benefited from his administration to resign. Speaking at an All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders’ meeting in Gusau, Lawal addressed complaints from various groups, including youths, women, and officials, regarding a perceived lack of welfare.

Lawal denied claims that appointees are being neglected, stating that his administration has prioritized long-term infrastructure projects. He noted that over N20 billion has been delivered across the 14 local government areas over the last three years. The governor admitted that a lack of transparency regarding contract awards contributed to dissatisfaction and promised that the names of contract recipients would soon be made public.

Lawal indicated that after three years of focusing on governance and infrastructure, the administration is now shifting its attention back to party politics.
