Zamfara Governor Lawal distributes institutional vehicles and receives NURTW endorsement

Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has distributed new official vehicles to several educational and public institutions to support administration, supervision, and accreditation. The fleet includes Toyota Land Cruiser models and Dongfeng Aeolus Mage vehicles. Recipients include Federal University Gusau, Zamfara State University, Talata Mafara, Abdu Gusau Polytechnic, and the College of Nursing and Midwifery, Gusau, among other state boards.

Governor Lawal issued a warning to heads of these institutions, stating that the vehicles are institutional assets and must not be used for personal purposes. He emphasized that officials would be held accountable for any unauthorized use or avoidable deterioration of the property.

In a separate development, the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has endorsed Governor Lawal for a second term. The union presented him with an Award of Excellence at the Government House in Gusau, citing his administration's achievements in infrastructure and the transport sector, including the distribution of 50 subsidized mass transit vehicles to union members.
