Zamość region reports: security threats, archaeology, and infrastructure updates
Several notable events have been reported in the Zamość, Hrubieszów, and Tomaszów Lubelski regions of Poland. In Tomaszów Lubelski, a 23-year-old man drew the attention of the Central Bureau for Combating Cybercrime (CBZC) after posting threats online targeting prominent politicians.
In Hrubieszów, an archaeological discovery was made when an 1800-year-old shield containing human remains was found at a scrapyard. Additionally, a fire in Hrubieszów destroyed a wooden house, resulting in the loss of personal belongings for a local senior family.
Infrastructure and culture updates include the S17 expressway construction near Zamość, which has reached approximately 50 percent completion on the Zamość Wschód–Zamość Południe section. In Zamość, the BWA-Galeria Zamojska is set to host an exhibition titled ‘Dzieci Zamojszczyzny – utracone dzieciństwo’ on August 28.
