Zamojskie Museum to celebrate 100th anniversary in 2026

The Zamojskie Museum in Zamość will celebrate its 100th anniversary with a two-day event scheduled for September 18 and 19, 2026. The jubilee aims to reflect on the institution's century of protecting and researching the heritage of Zamość and its surrounding region.

The program includes an international scientific conference titled ‘Museum in a UNESCO City – Heritage, Education, Innovation,’ held at the Zamość Town Hall. The conference will feature representatives from various Polish and Ukrainian cultural institutions, including the National Heritage Institute and the Lviv Historical Museum. The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage serves as the honorary patron for the event.

The second day of celebrations will be open to the public, featuring a study walk titled ‘In the Footsteps of the Former and Present Seats of the Zamojskie Museum.’
