Zamojszczyzna Association celebrates 30 years of folk culture

The Zamojszczyzna Association is celebrating its 30th anniversary, marking three decades of promoting and protecting the intangible cultural heritage of the Lubelszczyzna region. Founded in 1996, the association focuses on preserving folk traditions through dance, song, music, and traditional costumes, while training younger generations of performers.

To commemorate the milestone, a jubilee concert will be held on October 23 at the Zamość Cultural Center. The event, which holds the honorary patronage of the President of Zamość, will feature traditional dances and music inspired by the Zamojszczyzna and Lubelszczyzna regions. The celebrations also include demonstration lessons in local primary schools, a photographic exhibition documenting the association's history, and a gathering for current and former members.
