Zamora adds 11 young farmers through new regional subsidies
The province of Zamora has seen the addition of 11 new young farmers and ranchers following the second round of subsidies released by the Junta de Castilla y León. This latest resolution includes funding for three improvement plans linked to these new arrivals.
In this September installment, Zamora received 785,000 euros to support the establishment of young farmers, covering approximately 874,083 euros in installation costs. An additional 110,034.65 euros were allocated for three improvement plans.
To date, the province has resolved 137 files across two phases of concessions, including 109 young farmer incorporations and 28 improvement plans. Total cumulative aid for Zamora has reached over 8.7 million euros, supporting investments totaling approximately 10.66 million euros. This initiative is part of a broader regional effort by the Junta de Castilla y León, which has allocated 68.98 million euros across 1,129 resolved files to facilitate generational replacement in the agricultural sector.
