Zamora Chinchipe selects 2,702 polling station members for 2027 elections
The Provincial Electoral Board of Zamora Chinchipe has selected 2,702 members for the polling stations (MJRV) for the 2027 sectional and Council for Citizen Participation and Social Control (CPCCS) elections. The selection was conducted through a public lottery on September 2, 2026, overseen by a notary public and political organization representatives to ensure transparency.
Participants were selected based on National Electoral Council criteria, including higher education students, public and private sector employees, rural residents, and individuals listed in the Electoral Registry. Selected citizens will be responsible for receiving votes and conducting scrutiny during the election scheduled for November 29, 2027.
Notifications for the selected members will occur between September 4 and November 14, with training sessions scheduled from September 7 to November 29. Additionally, in coordination with the Internal Revenue Service (SRI), training was provided regarding the Political Financing Accounting System (SICOFIP) and formal campaign duties to ensure proper economic and financial management during the electoral process.
