Zamora City Council announces urban improvements and faces failed tender
The Zamora City Council has announced a series of infrastructure improvements for the San Frontis and Rabiche neighborhoods. These projects include paving work on Fermoselle Street to replace dirt paths with concrete, as well as the full concreting of a municipal plot on Rabiche Street to create an organized parking area and a new playground. The playground project, funded through the ‘Soñando Parques’ municipal program, has a base tender budget of 43,507 euros and an estimated execution period of two months.
In contrast, a separate major infrastructure project in the Pinilla neighborhood has stalled. The City Council declared the tender for sidewalk renovation in Pinilla void after receiving zero bids from companies. The project, which had a base budget of 1,000,000 euros including VAT, was intended to renew and pave sidewalks across various streets over a ten-month period.
