Zamora police report 1,550 school safety services

The Government Sub-delegate in Zamora, Ángel Blanco, has released a report on the 20th anniversary of the Plan Director for Coexistence and Security Improvement in Educational Centers and their Environments. During the 2025-2026 academic year, the National Police and Civil Guard conducted over 1,550 preventive surveillance services around schools, reporting that no drug sales points were detected in these areas.

The initiative reached 74 educational centers, representing 54% of the province's schools. More than 8,000 students participated in 635 training and informative sessions. The primary concerns raised by the educational community included internet risks, bullying, and cyberbullying, followed by environmental protection and police demonstrations.

In addition to classroom activities, the program included 36 police demonstrations for over 3,000 children and 18 visits to police facilities. Blanco emphasized the importance of building trust between law enforcement and minors to provide effective prevention tools for both students and teachers.
