Zamora Provincial Council invests in new mobile library for rural areas

In Zamora, Spain, the Provincial Council has awarded a contract worth 326,373 euros to Alegría Activity S.L. for the supply of a new mobile library (bibliobús). This vehicle is intended to strengthen the Provincial Library System by bringing books and library services to rural areas and small municipalities that lack permanent library facilities.

The initiative aims to ensure equal access to culture across the province, specifically targeting dispersed populations. Following the vehicle's acquisition, the Council plans to tender a service contract to begin mobile operations in the local towns.
