Zamora residents protest potential closure of Los Tres Árboles care home

A citizen platform in Zamora is protesting against the regional government of Castilla y León regarding the future of the Los Tres Árboles elderly care residence. Protesters are demanding that the facility maintain its function as a public residence for the elderly rather than simply keeping the building open without a specific purpose.

The group seeks to preserve the existing public residential spots and integrate them with the capacity of the new Vista Alegre facility. Zamora Mayor Francisco Guarido has expressed support for the mobilization, stating that the demand should transcend political affiliations and become a city-wide cause. He emphasized that the goal is for the center to complement the new installation by continuing its service as a residential home.
