Zamora water infrastructure project secures supply for 20,000 people
The Junta de Castilla y León has inaugurated new water supply infrastructure in the province of Zamora, aimed at securing potable water for approximately 20,000 people across eight municipalities. The project, representing a 3 million euro investment, was a collaborative effort between the regional government, the Provincial Council of Zamora, and the City Council of Zamora.
The new system addresses previous issues regarding the quality and quantity of local water resources, particularly during certain times of the year. The network is designed to handle a demand exceeding 4,300 cubic meters per day. The Junta de Castilla y León will manage the operation of these infrastructures for the next 25 years.
The beneficiary towns include La Hiniesta, Roales y Valcabado in the northern region, and Villaralbo, Moraleja del Vino, Arcenillas, Morales del Vino, and Tardobispo in the southern region.
