Zane Maloney joins Nissan for Formula E Gen4 season

Barbadian driver Zane Maloney is joining the Nissan Formula E Team for the 2026 Gen4 season, departing Lola after two seasons. Maloney, 22, moves to Nissan to partner with 2022 Formula E World Champion Oliver Rowland.

Despite facing challenges with Lola’s uncompetitive machinery, Maloney demonstrated potential during the previous season with three Duel appearances. Nissan’s decision to sign the former Formula 2 race winner follows his extensive testing with Gen4 machinery. The team aims to leverage Maloney’s racing background to strengthen its position in the electric vehicle championship fight under the upcoming technical regulations.
